What is the American Dream and how has it evolved? How does this affect you?

Join expert Roxanne Villarreal as she looks at the works of Walt Whitman, Langston Hughes, and F. Scott Fitzgerald and examines how core beliefs and values were perceived then as compared to today. Together we will reflect on what was kept, modified, or destroyed and redefine what the American Dream means.

Roxanne Villarreal is a published poet and holds a Masters in English with over 25 years of teaching experience. Since 1997, she has presented at national and regional conferences and has facilitated workshops on how to effectively teach writing and literature to students of different ages and abilities. Her experience continues to inspire her to show students how literary classics still apply today.

All of our workshops are held over Zoom.

You will receive an email 30 minutes before the workshop begins with the link to join the Zoom meeting. We highly recommend you to create a Zoom account prior to class.
